Jekyll Island
offers a full calendar of special events throughout the year for visitors and residents alike. In addition, the Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association coordinates at least ten special art events for Glynn County and organizes programs in the performing arts, visual arts, literature and arts-in-education on a regular basis. The Tillandsia Festival boasts music, dancing, theater and visual arts in a number of Glynn County locations. The following is a list of the major special events on Jekyll Island.

Island Treasures – This is a special event that takes place January 1st through February 28 where visitors to Jekyll Island can comb the ten miles of beach for art glass fishnet floats. Upon finding the one-of-a-kind treasures, visitors can take them to the Jekyll Island Welcome Center to be registered and receive a Certificate of Authenticity.
